The site for the cultural centre in memory of the writer Chinghiz Aitmatov, is located in Kirgizstan’s capital, Bishkek.

The delicate books of the author have detailed and atmospheric descriptions of Kirgizstan’s landscapes, from the steppes to the rocky mountains. The project is inspired in these descriptions. A walk trough this “garden” would give a subtitle link to the well-known landscape descriptions of the author.

The projects interprets the landscape situation from the first two belts in which Kirgizstan vegetation is classified in altitude, being the third level, above 3000m the alpine und subalpine prairies, which find its place in the building’s roofs.

The other two levels are topographically and atmospheric differentiated in the project:

The first and lower level, located at 1500m and historically dominated by steppe of high grasses, marshes and long reed extensions along the rivers.

The second Level corresponds to the landscape situated between 1500 and 1300m, and is mainly mountanious and with bushes.
