Sevilla Spanien, 2008. Internationaler Wettbewerb für Kunstinterventionen in der Stadt, 2. Preis

Carola Antón in Zusammenrabeit mit Pilar Garcia Abril, Professorin der Künste, Spanien.

Having for title a Garcia Lorca’s Poem  “Verde que te quiero verde”, the project has its routes in the relation nature_culture in the urban context, heritage from the Arabs, that has been kept alive in the streets of Sevilla until today.

The geometry of “El patio de los Naranjos” is an example of this contemplation of nature from a scientific – aesthetic point of view.

In the facade of the School of Fine Arts a vertical “Huerto” (vegetable garden) is proposed as a sign of identity, a reinterpretation of the urban productive landscape in the context of the cultural memory of the city.

Using a simple structure of cables and pulleys, a vertical hydoponic cultivation of changing colored topographies, talks about productivity, in a world where the cultivation land is being substituted by the city’s expansion.
